Hi! My name is Max. I'm a junior from the UK, currently at UNC Chapel Hill studying CS on a year abroad. My main interests are machine learning, systems, and robotics.
Right now I'm taking classes in areas like formal languages, computer architecture, and robotics. Outside of class, I'm finishing ShardGate, a sharded token-bucket rate limiter built in Rust with Tokio, and planning a robot arm build to get into vision-language-action (VLA) robotics.
In my free time I like to write horror stories, play a lot of competitive video games, and mess around with electronics and various computer parts.
